Tennis Clinic

The U.S. Tennis Association has adapted the sport of tennis for persons with short stature, using smaller-sized equipment and courts. At the 2012 DAAA National Games in Dallas, athletes from age 4 to 35 and their families came out to experience tennis for the first time.

The younger ones played on 36 foot courts with foam and red balls using 15, 17, and 19 inch racquets. The older athletes tried 60 foot courts with the orange balls, as well a green-dot balls on the 78 foot courts, with 23, 25 and 27 inch racquets. Now it is your turn to try tennis!

The Sport Technical Officer for the Tennis Clinic is George Lowe. He will be assisted by Jeff Giles and Sue Selke. All are representing the United States Tennis Association, Midwest Section.
