We are aware that some participants have made plans to fly into O'Hare Airport in Chicago. The travel distance from O'Hare airport to campus is 240 miles.Travel options include: (a) airline travel; (b) Amtrak train service - www.amtrak.com; (c) Megabus service - http://us.megabus.com; and (d) rental car/van. The Amtrak and Megabus services depart from Union Station in downtown Chicago, accessible by the "L" Train (http://www.transitchicago.com/riding_cta/how_to_guides/ridingthetrain.aspx) from O'Hare Airport. Ground Transportation for International GuestsAvailable ground transportation to/from airports is described above. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. ) to discuss the possibility and costs of shuttle bus transportation to/from airports. This option may be especially attractive to participants who are traveling in groups. Be certain to indicate the number of people in your group, your arrival/departure airport, your place of lodging in the Lansing area, and the number of wheelchairs or scooters that must be transported. We do not have the resources to provide this service from Chicago O'Hare airport. The deadline for seeking assistance with ground transportation is July 15. TrainAmtrak has a station in East Lansing, Michigan, about a half mile from the Athlete Village/Case Hall dormitory complex where most athletes will be housed. The East Lansing station code is LNS.
