 RainRainfall - On average, there is a 40% chance of rain on any given day in August. Storms occur most often in late afternoon. Thunder and lightning are possible. We recommend that participants bring rain gear, especially if they will participate as athletes or spectators in outdoor sports and recreational activities (track/field, soccer, bass fishing, flag football, and tennis). We play in rain, but not in thunder and lightning conditions.
